Problem Note 61612: SAS® Enterprise Guide® might not support zero as the "Maximum number of rows to display in the data grid with SAS/ACCESS® data"

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Enterprise Guide 7.15 Hot Fix 1 and earlier, you cannot specify zero as the limit for the number of rows to display in the data grid for SAS/ACCESS data. If you enter 0, then SAS Enterprise Guide automatically changes the value to 1. You set this option using Tools ► Options ► Data ► Performance ► Maximum number of rows to display in the data grid with SAS/ACCESS data ► Limit number of rows to.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

After the hot fix is applied, you can specify zero as the row limit for SAS/ACCESS data.

Setting the value to zero is useful when you are working with large DMBS data. For example, setting this value to zero can prevent SAS Enterprise Guide from locking up when it tries to retrieve a large amount of data. Setting the value to zero retrieves the column names, but not the data rows.
